So, -here it is the much anticipated Black Friday. Do you head out and hit the stores early? Stand in line for hours to get the must have (extremely limited supply) gift of the year? There is the thrill of the hunt with Black Friday - scouring the ads and making a plan. Where to go first? Do I hit Walmart for the $2 DVD's or do I go to Smith's Marketplace and get in on the incredible sock sale? And of course the elation in getting exactly what you started out for is great. Yes, this day has a mood of it's own. You are either floating on cloud 9 because you got exactly what you were looking for - or you are mad at yourself for not going to a certain store first before what you wanted was gone.
I was going through the ads last night, and I was amazed at how many 'doorbusters' had written in small print - 'while 5 per store' last or 'extremely limited quantities'. So - I got online and did some checking. It seems that a big doorbuster this year is a Nintendo DS that is packaged with a game like this limited edition red one with Super Mario Brothers:
This is one item that I saw with - 'while 5 per store last'. Every store that had it in the ad also listed how few they would have on hand. Well -I visited Amazon.com, not only do they have it - but it is $15 less than all the ads! It also qualifies for free shipping. One of the items I wanted to go out and get are the Bath & Body Works Wall Flowers & refills. These are great, and they make your house smell so good! They are regularly $12.50 for the starter kit or 2 refills. Today they are only $5! But guess what, they are $5 online too and for me the $5.95 shipping is less than I would spend on gas to get to a store.
I guess my point is - this year I will stay home, in my jammies and shop. No fighting the crowds, no one will take something from my hands, and I will not have to fight for a parking spot!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday. Of course I have some Black Friday deals as well. All of my products are 50% off at DSO. Great savings there! And the Potato Bar is still going on at Polka Dot Potato, you will find some great .99 deals there. I also have just released a new kit called Grant - it is named after one of my cute grandbabies :)
Today I am giving 2 freebies. Yes - I am still on the quick page kick, I just love them! The first is from my Big Boy kit and the second is another from my A Fresh Start kit.
I hope you enjoy these. Have a happy and safe holiday!

Getting Ready for Christmas
Making gifts for Christmas shows that you really put some thought into the process. Okay - don't get me wrong - I love a gift card as much as the next person. (Really - I do!) But there is still something about a homemade gift - it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I have made scrapbook gifts in the past and the recipients always seem so grateful. This year I decided to make a book for my mom with pictures of her great-grandkids. But where to find the time? Quick pages to the rescue! I love quick pages - there are some real stunning ones out there and I know I can get a great book done in no time.
Since I am enjoying quick pages so much myself - I thought I would share one I made from my A Fresh Start kit. By the way - I am having a Thanksgiving Sale at DSO. All my products are 50% off.
By the way - don't forget the Friends 4 Food drive. Have you donated to your food pantry yet? The prize is getting bigger - check out the blog for more info on how to win.

Great New Scrapping Site!
For those bargain hunters out there (and these days who isn't?) there is a brand new digi scrap site. DigiScrap Vault is a new site where you can find great digi products that have been retired from other shops. So, you always get fantastic deals! Prices are $1 - $3, and the quality is great. Check back often because new products are being added all the time.
A quick reminder about the Friends 4 Food project. There was a Scouting for Food drive in our area today and as I was going through my cupboards to get my donation together I thought about what it would be like to rely on the food pantry for our food. I decided to give a few different things than I usually do. So, in addition to the cans of tuna, soup, & bags of pasta, I decided to throw in a bottle of chocolate syrup and some cake mixes. Maybe some chocolate milk is just what someone needs to boost their spirits. Or maybe a mom wants to bake a cake for a child's birthday. Last week our church bulletin listed items that the food pantry needs so keep these things in mind when you donate: Diapers, soap, personal products, shampoo, deodorant, baking supplies, canned meats, peanut butter, etc.
Open your hearts and your cupboards and let's make sure no one goes without the things they need. Remember if you donate, blog about it and link your post back to the Friends 4 Food blog and you could win a great goody box! Check it out here.
Today's freebie is a personal use paisley overlay. Use it to make your own paisley paper or accents for your layouts. Have a great weekend :)

Friends 4 Food
Bunny ~ the owner of DSO has started a great project. She has put together a project to make sure that plenty of food is stocked in our community food pantries. AND she has put together (with the help of her friends) a great goody box for one lucky person. All you have to do is to donate food to your local food pantry and blog about it! Post about her project and link your post back to the Friends-4-Food Project blog. Check out the blinkie on the right to take you to the blog for all the fun details - including a list of what is in the goody box!
Another freebie today. This one is an add-on to my A Fresh Start kit. Only 1 more day to pick up my products at DSO for 50% off.

Keep trying - 4shared is swamped!
If you have trouble downloading my freebies, come back later and try again :) It seems that 4shared is a little overwhelmed right now - it must be all the freebies for DSD! But don't worry, I won't delete the links for a while, so just bookmark this blog and come back later.
Sorry for the hassle - I wish I could fix it.

Movie Night
So, yesterday a friend and I went to the movie for her birthday. The movie we decided to see was Ghost Town. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who wants a fun, quirky, feel good movie. It is about a guy who sees dead people - but not in a sixth sense kind of way. As the movie website says, 'He sees dead people . . . and they annoy him.' Such a cute, fun show. I would definitely see it again!
Halloween is almost upon us - how time flies! It seems like it was just summer. My freebie today is called Summer Farewell. Just a little mini-kit to get the creative juices flowing.
You might want to check out Polka Dot Potato on Monday, October 27. They will be having a special Manic Monday. Most designers products will be 50% off! You can't pass that up.
Enjoy - and as always, I love your comments :)

I'm Back!
After many months away, I am back in the blog world with a brand new blog! I love the way my new blog turned out - a great big thanks to Shelsscraps. She creates the most beautiful blogwear, and she customized some of my own digiscrap products to make this fantastic header & background. Check our her blog - you will LOVE it!
There are some great events going on around the digiscrap world right now. Polka Dot Potato has a grab bag event - you will get some great products for only $2. I have seen some of these bags and they are worth more than that! There are 6 bags available so you can get a lot of new products for $12.
Today's quick page freebie is made from one of the products available in my bag. My grab bag has 3 brand new products never seen before.
And as an added bonus - I am putting this Ancient Spice Quick Page back up. This one was a freebie last fall and since the leaves are changing again it might as well get a second turn :)
Watch my blog in the coming weeks - I plan to add more freebies, both new and maybe some favorites that people have requested again. It is good to be back!
